BIG FUN FOR THE LITTLE ONES

  • " HOT DOGS ON A STRING"

Are meal times becoming tedious?  Do your little ones sit at the dinner table and automatically turn on the whine button? ("I don't like that", "I'm not hungry", etc...)
Putting a little spice into meal time doesn't have to be difficult or costly.  Very often it is the simplest things that bring the greatest joy and happiest memories.  "Hot Dogs On A String" is a playful meal to make with your Little Ones.  It is requested often in our household and always brings smiles and empty plates.

Directions: Slice your favorite brand of uncooked hot dogs and have children help thread uncooked spaghetti pasta through the sliced hot dogs (like threading beads). We use about 3 or 4 pieces of pasta and approximately 6 slices of hot dogs on each bundle. Consider making spiders or an octopus. Be creative and have fun. Make as many bunches as you would like. Adult places them in pot of boiling water.  Cook until tender. Drain. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Yummy to serve with a side of tomato sauce or condiments and veggies.**Note:sliced hot dogs are not to be served to very young children due to choking hazard.
